Decrease production
Garage steps
Front porch and stairs
Stamped front porch!!As many of you have noticed, I haven't posted in over a week. Well, we finally hit our first snag. The trusses we hoped to arrive last week still are not here. Hopefully they all will be delivered tomorrow. At least that is what we are being told at this point. I will believe it when I see it!! If they do arrive, Damon should be able to start putting them up Thurday!! So in the mean time, Damon has been finishing some small things. He was able to pour the stoop or front porch(as I call it). They dyed the concrete and stamped it with a pattern. That is one of the pictures above. He was able to get the steps in garage done. (Also one of the pictures above.) He built a removable ramp for these stairs, so his dad will be able to get into the new house. It is pretty cool. He has also started to do some of the framing in the basement for our family room and office. Hopefully I will have more posts in the upcoming days!!

End of 6 weeks!!
Garage sheeted!!
Back of house and eventually the back yard.
More of the back yard.Well, the weekend has ended and we having been building now for 6 weeks. We definitely have come a long way. Everyone that stops to see the progress can not believe how far we've come. All the credit goes to my lovely husband. He has been working his you-know-what off. This weekend we did a lot of little things. We finished the sheeting on the garage, cleaned out the basement, cleaned up around the house, and got some of the dirt work done. Hopefully this week the trusses will come!! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Process slowed

Hi faithful blog readers:> As you can see from the pictures, we have made some progress but it has slowed some. There were too major factors for the decrease in progress. The first major factor was good old mother nature. We had our official first blizzard for over 3 days here in Butte. That made it impossible to work. Then during the blizzard, I left for the weekend. I spent the weekend in Portland with the Ramey family celebrating the wedding of my cousin, Kali. That is the first picture you see. That is some of my cousin, aunt and grandma. We had a super time!! My family is awesome and a treat to hang out with anytime. However with me in Portland, Damon was totally in charge of the kids. As most of the wife's reading this know, dads have a hard time multi-tasking when having the kids alone. So due to those two major factors not much progress has been made. Damon was able to get the floor on before the snow and also put the stairs to the basement in. Those are the pictures you see above. In the picture with the the kids playing, that is where our kitchen and living room area will be eventually. There is lots planned this week hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can get framed in!! Keep your fingers crossed!! Bye for now!!

Coming along

Ok I am apologing to all my blog followers. My husband so kindly (ha,ha) informed me, I am not doing a very good job keeping up on posting on the blog. So if I have been disappointing you by not posting blogs more frequently. I am sorry:> I will try to post every few days. The house continues to progress nicely. Since posting last, Damon has put up all the walls in the basement. He also has moved alot of dirt and leveled out the property some. Finally, today he got all the floor joists in. Wow, he does good work. I definitely need to keep him around. It is actually starting to come together. We may actually have walls soon. Unbelievable!!! As I said before I will try and post more frequently for you, my loyal blog viewers!! Bye!!

More progress
South View off of property!!
Garage Foundation
Basement Floor!!Well, as you can see, we have made more progress on the house the last few days. The garage foundation got poured and Damon was able to remove all the panels. He started back filling the dirt a little today around the garage. It will be nice when all the dirt is leveled out. It makes quite a mess now!! Also we got the basement floor poured today. So we know can start putting on the floor and putting up walls. Yeah progress you can see!! Hopefully the weather remains beautiful here so we can get the garage floor poured next week. Then we are done with concrete until we pour the driveway and that is way off!! I am definitely getting a lesson in carpentry!! But so far it has gone pretty well!! I hope I just didn't jinx us!! See Ya!!
