Outside View of new house to come!

Basic Floor Plan

I have received a few emails asking about what the new house will look like when it is finished and what the floor plan is like. So I have attached a picture of the outside view and the floor plan. It has all been modified some of course. On the outside the biggest difference is the garage. It will be a three car garage. On the inside, there will be a stairway going downstairs, as we will have a full basment. We have add a little bit of square footage so the house is a little over 1600 square feet on each floor. There will be a Mud room where you see the washer and dryer icons not a utility room. The basement will have a family room, 2 bedrooms, a utility room and a bathroom. We are building on a city lot that is just under a half of acre. So we will have plenty of room for a nice yard. So that is the basics of the house to come. We have made more progress this week. There will be more pictures to come of the changes!! (As soon as I get time to take more pictures!!) Keep the questions coming!!

Thank goodness for days of rest

Today is sunday and we really did not have much to do on the house. We need to pour concrete and can not do that on the weekends, so we actually had a day off. This is first day home together in over 2 weeks. Thank goodness for Sundays!! It has been nice just spending time as a family. We did go to the new house for a few hours and was able to meet one of our neighbors. Their last names is Johns. They have a little boy Blake's age and goes to Blake's school. He is also in Kindergarten but a different class. They played for awhile today. It sure will be nice to live in a neighborhood where there are kids!! Poor Taylor will be out numbered by boys but I am sure she will hold her own. She is growing up a Butte girl:> So bye for now!!

Oh and by the way, Damon said we are taking donations!!! So send them any time!! (ha,ha) See Ya!!!

Hello all. I am officially going to try and become a blogger.( Thanks to my cousin Kali) I am not sure how well I will be at it but I thought this would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated on our new adventure. On September 8th, Damon and I began building a new house together. It will be here in Butte on Primo Ave. We are very excited but it definitely is going to be alot of work. We are building it ourselves. Damon would laugh that I say we are building it but I am doing the best I can. I did move concrete panels for many hours the other day. So far things have went fairly well. Since starting on September 8th, we have the hole dug, the basement foundation concrete poured, water and sewer to the house and the garage foundation ready to pour concrete. I have found that I will be very glad when the concrete is done. It is alot of building up and then tearing down. I will be glad when we aren't tearing down everything we build. I hope you enjoy the pictures I have attached. Sorry they are in the wrong order but I am just learning how to blog. Next time I will have it right. (I hope!!) My dad has been a huge help!! I am so thankful for him helping because I do have a few wussy bones in my body. He was able to help pour the basement foundation when I could not walk on the foundation walls to help pour them. Damon was also very thankful :> I will try and post frequently with updates and new pictures of our progress so each blog is not so long. If any of you are ever bored, come on over, we can put you to work. Bye for now!!
