Well December 2009 is here and we are getting ready for our first Christmas on Primo!! It is hard to believe we have been in this beautiful home for over 8 months. Time flies when you are having fun. It flies so fast I hardly ever blog:(( Ugh! Hopefully we still have a few faithful viewers. We have our tree and house decorated as you can see. Our neighborhood is very decorated with wonderful lights. It is definitely a great neighborhood to live in. We are all looking forward to the upcoming holidays. Merry Christmas to all of you!!

Continued Life on Primo

Hello faithful blog viewers. If you are reading this, YOU are definitely faithful!! I know I haven't posted anything since April however life has continued on Primo!! We have settled into our new wonderful home and are LOVING it!!!!!! It is so hard to believe that just one year ago we were just starting this process. NOW, we have been living in our beautiful home for over 5 months!! The only thing that we have not completed is the landscaping. We decided we wanted to enjoy the summer and not be overwhelmed with having to plant grass. We may begin to start that process this fall. We will see how motivated we get!! So faithful viewers, I will post more pictures of the completed house soon. Thanks again for staying!!

As you have already seen, we have add one more thing to our new house. A new Sony LCD tv and stand. There had been many comments regarding our little 18 inch tv. I loved my little 18 inch tv but it did look a little out of place in our new front room. So we splurged and bought a 46" Sony Bravia. It is great!! We can actually see the TV now. Amazing!!

Banister complete!!!!

We finally don't have a death trap in our dining room. Hooray!! Damon got the banister up today. It looks GREAT! It also makes me breath a little easier. I was little concerned someone may fall down the stairwell before we got it up. I also got all the base painted yesterday and all the nicks from the move covered. That was a full days job. Hopefully if the weather would ever cooperate we will pour our curbing and driveway. It will be nice to get that in so maybe there will not be so much dirt. It doesn't hurt to dream!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so it has been 11 days since my last post. That is how many days I have lived without internet, phone or cable. Unbelievable I know but I survived. The worst part was not having internet. Very difficult:>> Well, we moved in. Unfortunately I have NO pictures of the move. It happened so fast that I think I just spun around in a circle in disbelief!! We had so many great friends and family helping that we moved the whole house in about 3 hours. Now when I say moved I mean just put in the house. It has taken me 11days to find everything and try and put it away, where I can find it. We still have boxes full of misc. items in the basement. They may stay there for awhile. As you can see from the pictures, we are definitely living in our new home. And as you can see there are a few things left to be finished but very livable. Living here is still so unreal. It is so hard to believe this beautiful place is OUR's for a very long time. We also have signed all the papers for the sell of our old house. It was definitely bitter sweet. We will miss our little blue house. When we drive by it, I want to cry. We had lots of great memories in that home. However, we plan on making LOTS of new great memories in our new home. More posts to come.

7 days!!

Ok so I am apologizing because I don't have pictures to post again today. You will just have to believe me when I say things are coming along. We got all our appliances today. They are GREAT. They also look terrific in the kitchen and mud room. All the lights, speakers and fans are in. Thanks to my dad!! I have been slowing moving things to the house but tomorrow we will be completely moving in. Unfortunately I will not be posting for a number of days as glitch #3 hit when Bresnan has not shown up to connect our phone, internet or cable. So our house will be very quite for the next several days. I will take pictures of the move and post when I am able to reconnect!!!!

8 days

Wow only 8 days! That thought is very scary. More progress today. Grout got sealed; the kitchen faucet is in; all the baseboard should be finished tonight; vacuumed all the carpets and all the kitchen cabinets; all the interior doors got hung. I think that is about it. That is definitely plenty. We have been burning the candle at both ends. More to come tomorrow!!!

Now if you didn't read yesterday's blog you may be confused because we have went from 11 days to 9. And yes I can count. The day we will close on our current house has got moved up a day so we have lost one full day of work. So there is only 9 days left. Today was a very productive day. YAY!! The hardwood floor is done. It is great. We love it. My dad was able to help to that sped things up. Also the plumber returned and finished the hot water heater. YAY for hot water. He also put in a few of our bathroom fixtures. So we will have at least one bathroom when we move in. We also got alot of things cleaned. It is amazing all the dust that accumulates during the building process. Oh so much more to do!!!!

With only 11 days left, things are moving slow. The morning did not start out too productive but Damon has gotten part of the hardwood floor in as seen in the picture above. It looks great!! We are so happy with it. Also did get the additional carpet ordered today. They even had the same die-lot. Unbelievable!! That should be in possibly Friday or early next week. We also found out we will be signing our papers on Thursday now instead of Friday. One less day to get things done. So I should truly be saying 10 days and counting. Hopefully tomorrow things will pick up.

On the twelve day of counting, the second glitch hit!! 12 inches of fresh new snow and when your carpenter is a skier~~yes you have guessed it, off to the ski hill he goes!! So there was no progress made on the house today. Anyone know of any cheap hotels in Butte?? I may need the number. I have put the pictures of the carpet. It looks great and I am glad that is in!!

13 days!!

Well we have hit our first major glitch. The carpet is here and being installed however we are short. YES I said we are short carpet. We do not have enough to do the stairs going to the basement. How can this happen you ask?? I'm not really sure myself. We had the guy who was going to install the carpet for us came and do the measurements. We ordered the amount he told us too. Now it is his dad who is actually installing the carpet and now we are short:<< I am trying not to get to worked up about it. It is only the stairs; The carpet only has to come from Georgia; We only have to move in next weekend!! Ok I'm stopping before I end up in a padded cell. I should just be happy this is the only glitch so far. I will try and post pictures of the carpet later!!!

We have only 14 days to be out of our current house. So the race is on. Things are progressing smoothly at this point. I hate to even say that to jinxs us but so far so good. The bathrooms are coming along. Today we got a surprise in that our carpet is going to be laid!! We weren't expecting it to get done until next Friday and that was cutting it close. So YAY for the carpet getting put in!!! Our appliances should be in either Thursday or Friday of next week. Hopefully by then our hardwood floor will be completed!! One day at a time!!!

THE COUNT DOWN IS ON!!

As of tomorrow, we only have 14 days to be out of our current house!! Now that's a scary thought!! Things are coming together at the new house. All the tile is done. Damon has started putting the together the bathrooms; toilets, sinks etc. Also the plumber was there today putting in the hot water heater!! YAY!! So we are moving along but are we moving fast enough~~ only time will tell!! I will post pictures soon!!

Well we did it!! We sold our current house. It is very exciting and scary at the same time. We are so glad that we were able to sell however now we have to be out of this house by April 10th!! So we are trying our best to be able to be in our new house by the 10th. It will definitely be close!! So here is the progress on the new house. The kitchen cabinets are in and they are beautiful. My dad has been working hard to get all our outlets and lights in. Damon has gotten one bathroom floor in. (as you see from above) He his also working on our bathroom floor today!! The hardwood is here and the carpet is on the way. We will definitely be close to getting in by April 10th!!!

The outside is done, The outside is done. (On the house of course.) We still have landscaping and sidewalks to pour but the house is done. We love it!! It is hard to believe how far we have come in such a short amount of time!! The inside is coming along to. (as you can see from the pictures) The taping and texturing is done. All the walls have also been primed!! Yeah!! Now Damon is hanging the doors and the trim. Then the trim needs to be primed. Damon has made all the trim himself and is looks great!! He is so talented!! The doors also are beautiful. It is still so hard to believe is going to be OUR home!! The kitchen cabinets are also here. They are AWESOME!! I can't wait until we can hang them!! We are definitely moving right along. Now if we could get an offer on our current house we would be set!! Keep your fingers crossed!!
